
So this past Friday (the 13th), I took a break from my Jason Voorhees movie marathon to head out to the American Museum of Natural History. No, I wasn't looking for Ben Stiller's pride; I attended a show headlined by DJ /rupture.
I'd seen /rupture live during this year's P4K festival, but seeing him in a dark, club-like space far trumped sunny Chicago. His chill, dub-inspired electronics perfectly suited the intergalactic environment at The Rose Center for Earth Space.
Granted, watching anyone play under the glowing lights of a space exhibit would be pretty radical; Finding out that I weighed 69 lbs. on Mars (lolz) during the show only added to the experience.
