Real Estate Ironically in Tune on "Out of Tune"

Oops, almost forgot to post "Out of Tune," this near-perfect new single from Real Estate. Featuring Oneohtrix Point Never (who seems to be everywhere these days) on synths, the jam sounds like the curtain dropping on summer; perfect timing.

The physical copy drops on October 12th on True Panther, but you can grab it and an oldie below.

Beach House Release (Really Good) iTunes EP

Dudes, those famous Beach House coos sound pretty chill on your record player and everything, but their slinking sound takes on more flesh-out vibes when they play live. Take my word for it.

Thanks to a new iTunes Session EP, you too can hear six sober jams played live, including one brand new song, "White Moon." The EP also includes the Devotion classic,"Gila," which has the distinguished honor of being burned into my brain forever after it soundtrack'd an airplane landing in stormy summer weather.

Sufjan Stevens Decided to Drop a New EP Today...

So right at this moment, I'm stuck in yet another remedial Photoshop class, but as boring as it is, I can't just whip out some headphones and listen to this brand new Sufjan Stevens EP. However, I'm hoping you're better off than I am, so I'm busting out this entry like Barry Allen.

Some quick background: The material on here -- including two 10+ minute-long tracks -- was born out of the song outlines Soof worked on during his last tour (which I attended, natch).

While I can't quite vouch for any of the new songs, I'm going to go ahead an assume it's pure greatness.

Kanye's Got the Power and His New Remix Slays

Whoa now. So, the Kanye jam that is "Power" has already been well documented here, but this new remix featuring Jay-Z, Swizz Beatz, and a Snap! sample everyone recognizes is a huge win.

The new cut features Jay-Z rapping over the standard "Power" beat, with a few production flourishes courtesy of a tinkering Ye, but then shifts into a whole new bass-heavy, 90s-referencing beast at the 3:15 mark.

Check out the remix and the original down below to experience the awesomeness.

By the way, Kanye's "new" blog has been so solid lately.

New Flying Lotus EP + Single (Boo-Yah)

On September 21st, Flying Lotus will release a new (and let's be real, probably awesome) EP titled Pattern+Grid World and I want to know how the hell this is possible. Clearly, he's just too talented. After releasing one of 2010's best LPs, Cosmogramma, it's hard to believe that the Californian producer could put out another solid batch of songs -- Pattern+Grid World is seven tracks long -- but then you hear "Camera Day" and slap yourself in the forehead.

The EP's first single is less dubstep than Los Angeles, less free-jazz+Dilla than Cosmogramma, and a lot more reminiscent of his early electronic experiments. A little more upbeat and 16-bit than what we're used to hearing, yeah, but "Camera Day" is still definitively FlyLo.

And it's just begging for a Lil Wayne verse or two. Someone get on that.

EDIT:// The very fine EP is out now and you can grab a copy by clicking here.
